Kunshan/Shanghai Trip - Chinese Wedding

One of my closest friends in Uni has finally tied the knot! The wedding took place on May 18th at her hometown, Kunshan, China. I got to be one of the bridesmaids with other 2 girls, whom one of them is my Uni mate as well, so we flew to Shanghai over the weekend. There were lots of food, drinks, driving, and zero beauty sleep. Let the photos do the talking!

Where is the future taking me?

Yes, it’s been WAY too long since my last post. So let’s recap of where and what I have been doing for the past 2 months.

Final Year Project and exams

Project and exams made me fully occupied and stressed! But finally I’m done with all those! Although it’s not official yet, at least for the time being I don’t have business with school. I’m free!!

Quality time with friends

 

 

After my exams were done, I legitimately hung out every single day and started getting my social life back. I had a farewell celebration with my classmates which I truly appreciated. The whole class never actually hung out together outside of campus so it was definitely something. We had so much fun :) Plus, me and my close friends just got back from Bali for our 4day-trip! (Pictures coming up soon) I didn’t want it to end! So now I’m kinda having a post-trip depression :/

Fresh grad, anyone?

Meanwhile, as what graduates normally do after having done with school, I try to get a job. It ain’t easy, especially for non-locals. My alternative of being employed is to get into a training of a bank. So far I haven’t got any replies from any companies, which makes me super worried. I still wanna stay in Singapore!

Thinking

Even though I’m excited for a new life, I’m scared. I don’t have ANY experience related to working and as I’m getting older (maybe not that old but still), I’m also worried of my love life. There’s SO many things in my head right now and the what-ifs, thinking about those makes me emotional sometimes. I wish I could see some kind of trailer of God’s plan so I’d know I’m on the right track. I’m also not very confident of myself either. Ugh, it’s just damn complicated.

My parents said I just need to be patient. Well yeah, but for how long?

I’m going to Jakarta next Tuesday to spend a quality time with family and old friends before entering the workforce (IF I get any calls..). I thought I would be home for Easter but things caught up in the way so AGAIN, I spend this year’s Easter alone.

Besides this song, I don’t really have other positive things to say, actually.. just been doing project and preparing for exams. Most of my friends flew back home for Chinese New Year, (right, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR for those who celebrated!)including my boyfie :( so yeah my CNY for this year was just BLAH. Last year and last 2 years were definitely merrier.

This week’s TT is just a short one since I dont want to put negativity in it further more. Send me some good vibes!!

Epic work WASTED

So here’s the story.

I got a project of this module that happened to be called as “Applied Strategic Management” and basically what I needed to do was to pick a company and analyze the industry the company is in and the company itself.

So *ahhem* of course I chose a fashion retailer and H&M seemed to be a good choice. (Random fact: I never shopped in H&M before)

The lecturer was freaking demanding on the design on the project. He wanted to see students’ creativity. I thought that it was rather strange because I expected that final year’s projects were supposed to be professional, not those with pictures and colorful designs.

But well, this is what I did.

I was so proud of this cover page! I took a pretty darn long time to make the collage look creative-yet-professional. Washout mode is the bomb!

I think the idea of putting a hanger instead of a dot on the line was brilliant *cough*.

This was probably the most creative page of the entire project.

Overall, I really liked my project and was enthusiastic enough to do it. I guess I was on my laptop more than sleeping, eating, and other things combined together. But… *intense music*

The lecturer changed the content and the style of the project. The day he told us was just 2 weeks before the submission date. He said there were some changes in the university’s requirements and I BELIEVED that he had known earlier than that. He wanted to be plain just like any other projects. I altered around 80% of what I had done, plus adding new requirements. It was like doing the whole thing again from the start. I was so frustrated! So basically me and other students needed to complete 3month-project in 2 weeks. Insane, huh?

But we made it in time! I felt super disappointed though, that my hard (epic) work was wasted. So I’d better share it here rather than just keeping it unrevealed inside the computer memory. I feel my initial work was better though, coz honestly, I had lost the interest after the requirement change. I hope the results won’t turn out so bad!

And for sure, I hope this misery won’t happen again in the future! Although it wouldn’t be as shocking if it does happen again *touches wood*.

Don’t you think I’ll make an awesome fashion project manager? :p

Oh, talking about fashion, apparently there’s a fashion degree in my campus!!! I'm not planning to change of course, it’s just..I’m happy :D

Oh! H&M is opening its first outlet in Singapore next month!!! Can’t wait!! When I saw the banner I was like “finally!! My company is here!!” LOL coz I know pretty a lot about H&M now after doing that project hehe.

But thank God that this newly started term there will be exams only :)

And other things too… lol.

One of my top favorite songs from Dave Days! Been waiting for this music video for SO LONG, and I’m pretty satisfied of how it turned out. Singing and playing guitar under the rain? SCORE!

So let me tell you what’s really been on my mind:

• my pretty little darling assignment that takes forever to finish (gonna talk about this further after the submission so you BETTER stay tuned)
• how I’m gonna divide my time tomorrow for assignment and taxation tutorial review
• that laptop case I saw at the mall few weeks ago
• when I will buy that Clinique Moisture Surge a.k.a my saviour cream which is running out fast
• the spanish homework that I just got today about sharing something fun/funny that happened recently
• The fruits in the fridge that have been there since forever
• yesterday was the Olsen twins’ birthday and I totally forgot about it
• I don’t know dates anymore
• why am I even writing this in point form
• that Dave Days’ thumbnail looks pretty hot lol
• this Saturday will be a busy one
• I need to remind my friends that the electone festival is happening this weekend
• I wanna tell my girlfriend my suggestion for a bday gift
• how I’m gonna control myself for not punching my lecturer in the face tomorrow
• why am I even blogging when I’m supposed to continue my work?!
• oh, someone reminded me lol
